  • Seek access to an eligible Working Space where a relevant role, invitation, permission, project involvement, Group condition, or other approved route applies
  • Public access enables anyone to explore publicly available knowledge, Critical Issues, events, Journal Publications, Repository materials, Calls and Opportunities, and other open Commons activity.
  • Registered non-member access enables a person to create an account or act through a verified contact for a defined purpose, such as event registration, a Call or Opportunity, a manuscript submission, volunteer application, Partnership enquiry, sponsorship enquiry, or another permitted activity.
  • Individual Membership establishes an ongoing personal or professional relationship with the Commons.
  • Institutional Membership establishes an ongoing organizational relationship with the Commons, normally exercised through authorized representatives.
  • Individual Membership is not the same as joining a Community Group, attending an event, or accessing a Working Space.
  • Commons Membership provides registered identity, an ongoing relationship, and access according to Membership level, permissions, and applicable conditions.
  • Community Group participation enables fuller participation in the activity of a particular Community Group.
  • Individual Membership does not automatically make a person a participant in every Community Group
  • Joining one Community Group does not create participation rights in another Group
  • Attending an event does not itself create Community Group participation
  • Community Group participation does not automatically provide Working Space access
  • Working Space access may depend on a defined role, invitation, permission, project involvement, Group conditions, confidentiality requirements, safeguarding arrangements, or another approved basis
  • An Individual Member does not gain authority to represent a Community Group, direct Group activity, speak for the Commons, access restricted material, or make decisions on behalf of others unless expressly authorized
